Our story
In 2016 Maastricht Skateboarding was founded.
This started as a small initiative and selling shirts and sweaters with the Maastricht Skateboarding logo.
At one point Stan noticed that there was a high demand for decks in the city that were of good quality, but affordable for the young teenager. This is because there has been no skate shop active in and around Maastricht since 2010.
In 2017 we made the decision to focus on skateboards.
With his own savings, he looked for a manufacturer and ordered his first "own" batch of 30 boards. These boards sold out within a week and from there the "skateboard brand" started.
What makes Mosae Skateboards unique is that all the designs are custom made.
At the end of 2017, Maastricht Skateboarding released their first full length skate video under that name. This video was a great success after a major premiere at the then skate cafe.
In September 2018 we decided to continue under the current name "Mosae Skateboards". This is to attract a broader audience and not only focus on Maastricht, but also in the rest of the country. Mosae means "mesh" in Latin, so a bit of Maastricht remains incorporated.
To this day, Mosae Skateboards still makes high-quality skateboards with its own designs for the whole of the Netherlands.
In addition to skateboards, we are currently also working on a new video for Mosae Skateboards with our team riders.
